To Liverpool From Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are reported to be locked in talks with Liverpool over the sale of striker Daniel Sturridge in the transfer window.
The England under-21 star is a known Liverpool target as Reds boss Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his ranks and reports now claim that talks are at an advanced stage.

Sturridge has become frustrated at Stamford Bridge as the management have kept faith with the misfiring Fernando Torres and he will jump at the chance of a move to Liverpool if a deal can be agreed.

There had been suggestions that his wage demands could be a problem but the striker is just desperate to play and will agree terms if he has more of a chance in the Reds first-team.

Chelsea will use the money to fund a striker move of their own and it is thought they will accept a fee of £12million for the former Manchester City star, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
