Chelsea are willing to sell Cech

Peter was left on the bench in Monday night's opening Premier League win at Burnley, when Belgian World Cup goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was selected ahead of him.

Courtois, 22, had a fine game as Chelsea won 3-1, and afterwards Mourinho - who kept his selection a secret right up until the day of the game - said he had taken his decision dispassionately, and was looking to the future for Chelsea.

Cech has so far had no talks with Mourinho about his future and will look for assurances from the Portuguese in the next few days about where exactly he stands.

Mourinho has said he will pick his No 1 from the pair of them and will then stick with that, and said after the win at Burnley that he wants Cech, 32, to stay.

But it is understood that Chelsea are willing to sell Cech if the right offer, of around £12 million, comes in.

Real Madrid, managed by ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, Paris St Germain and Monaco are all understood to be ready with bids if Cech decides in the next fortnight, before the transfer window closes, that he wants to leave.
