Newcastle United are interested in bringing Chelsea striker Demba Ba back to St James’ Park. and have already opened talks according to reports
Newcastle are actively looking for more firepower and are keen to take Ba, who scored 29 goals in 54 games on Tyneside, back to St James Park.
The Magpies are also interested in Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, but a deal for Ba is believed to be manager Alan Pardew’s preferred option.
Newcastle have signed Loic Remy on loan from QPR but are still waiting for the French striker to be fit and Pardew admitted that the club have never really replaced Ba.
‘We are still short. We are short of Demba Ba,’ he said. ‘That’s what it looks like and until Remy is fit or we get another striker, it will be a problem for us.’ (The Metro)
Ba as he is seemingly surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and he could be a god buy from the Toon
