Some news emerging from the Daily Mail that claims not only could former Chelsea player Fernando Torres be on his way back to the Spain but an Atletico Madrid player could well replace him at Stamford Bridge.
The player we are talking about it of course Radamel Falcao who has long been linked with a move away from the La Liga side and it seems may well be heading the London in part of a swap deal. Anyone who has seen Torres’ form since moving to Chelsea would realise that a simple swap deal is off the cards – a substantial amount of cash also has to be involved in the deal too.
Diego Simeone must be fed up with answering questions on the pair by now but still gave some brilliant quotes when asked about both players. He claimed to Onda Cero that: “Fernando knows the history of Atletico Madrid, he knows what it means to play for this club. I don’t need to speak about his ability as we were team-mates. I know how important he can be.”
He also spoke about his current player who has a £50 million buy out clause and noted that his future is up in the air, stating: “It’s complicated. I wouldn’t like to say yes or no. He’s a player who always performs and we have to respect his choice.”
