Jose Mourinho's first task if he returns to Chelsea will be to ensure John Terry and Frank Lampard stay put,

Speculation is rife that the Portuguese tactician will be returning to Stamford Bridge from Spanish giants Real Madrid at the end of the season following a near six-year absence.

And the Sun report claims Mourinho, who won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and a Community Shield in his first spell with the Blues, has already made his transfer plans known to the club's hierarchy so they can get the ball rolling before he arrives.

Included in that is a new contract for midfield veteran Lampard, whose current deal expires at the end of the season and until now looked like it would be allowed to run out, while Terry is also set to be offered an extension on his terms which have another 12 months to run.

Mourinho has also dismissed suggestions that he will look to sign Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and Real Madrid midfield star Xabi Alonso.

One of his other first tasks could be to try and persuade Brazilian defender David Luiz to stay put with the Europa League finalists as reports claim Barcelona are plotting a £40 million swoop for his services in the summer transfer window.
