Ba will have no place in Jose Mourinho plans

Returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho is looking to put his own stamp on the Stamford Bridge squad and it is believed that Senegal international Ba will have no place in his plans despite the fact he only signed from Newcastle in the January transfer window.

Mourinho is still being heavily linked with a swoop for Napoli's Uruguay international star Edinson Cavani while reports on Saturday are claiming the Portuguese tactician will pip Arsenal to the £35million capture of Liverpool's want-away striker and Cavani's fellow compatriot, Luis Suarez,

Belgium hot-shot Romelu Lukaku is also returning from a very successful season-long loan at Premier League rivals West Brom so that will leave Ba well down the pecking order with the Londoners.

As a result Anzhi Makhachkala are thought to be pondering a swoop for the player, who is also wanted by West Ham on a season-long loan. However if Anzhi come up with an acceptable offer then Chelsea will be more likely to sell as opposed to keeping Ba on their books and loan him to another club.
