No chance, no chance. Our players might not be sold this summer

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists Juan Mata and David Luiz will not be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
There has been speculation that Mourinho is keen to cash in on forward Mata to make room for his own targets, while Luiz has been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

Earlier in the week reports claimed that Chelsea had offered £10million plus either Mata or Luiz to Manchester United in their bid for Wayne Rooney.

The Blues then decided to confirm that they had submitted an unsuccessful bid for the United striker and used the statement to stress that no players were offered as part of the deal.

Mourinho has now confirmed he has no intention of parting with Spain international Mata or Brazilian star Luiz this summer, who are both on an extended break after competing for their respective countries in the Confederations Cup.

"I spoke with them during the summer, in my period of holiday and their period of the Confederations Cup, yes," Mourinho told the Guardian. "But when they finished the Confederations Cup I just wished them luck and told them that I will see them on the 28th [of July].

"I am not going to contact them based on news that are not true, and that they know that is not true because I have told them they are very important for me. How can I change that two days later because of a news [story]? So no, no contact with them."

When asked whether either player might be sold this summer, Mourinho replied: "No chance, no chance."
