With his lack of goals in recent
months, Chelsea player Fernando Torres could find himself dropped for
the upcoming Champions League match with Juventus, as boss Roberto di
Matteo is thinking about changing things.
Torres has scored just once in his last seven appearances for Chelsea and again looked out of sorts during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion.
He said: “Am I prepared to leave Torres out on Tuesday? I think we will have to assess the whole team and see how everybody is, and how they have recovered. (Sky Sports)
Di Matteo has been critiscised for continually picking the Spaniard, even though he hasn’t been in any kind of form since he arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2011. Daniel Sturridge deserves a run in the team, and even though he hasn’t been in any kind of form either. He cannot be any worse than Torres?
