Jose Mourinho to make a sensational return

Roman Abramovich has fueled speculation that he’s trying to persuade Jose Mourinho to make a sensational return to Stamford Bridge this summer after buying him a €400,000 watch, according to the Express.
Mourinho enjoyed a hugely successful spell as Chelsea boss between 2004-2007 when he won two league titles as well as lifting three domestic trophies before leaving for Inter Milan after a reported rift with Abramovich.
The Express claim the Portuguese coach is set to leave his position at Real Madrid this summer and is believed to have already negotiated his exit with the La Liga giants hierarchy, with Mourinho heavily linked with a return to west London.
The speculation has now intensified with the newspaper reporting that Blues owner Abramovich has given the 50-year-old a new watch worth a staggering €400,000 (approximately £350,000), which could be regarded as some kind of ‘peace offering’ following the pairs frosty relationship during Mourinho’s final months at Stamford Bridge.
The Express suggest that senior Chelsea players have been made aware that the club are in talks with Mourinho over a potential return to replace Rafa Benitez in the summer, with the so-called ‘Special One’ not shy of voicing his desire to return to the Premier League.
Mourinho would no doubt be a hugely popular choice if he does end up making the move back to west London at the end of the season, and news of Abramovich’s very generous ‘gift’ has only added fuel to the fire that he’s being lined up to replace Benitez this summer.
